I use several third-party public adjuster estimators to develop a scope of damage via Xactimate and Xactcontents, these programs are utilized by most insurance companies.  They display measurements, roof design, dimensions, cost to bring damage back to original and pictures to tell the story.  This is an essential document that we use to determine the extent of damage and pass these forensics along to the insurance company at the time of a claim to help them with their estimate or re-inspection of damage.
